On 24 September 2020, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) launched its new free database WIPO Lex-Judgments, which contains judic ial decisions on IP matters from around the world. WIPO supports judiciaries in dealing with the novel legal questions that often arise from intellectual property (IP) disputes in a rapidly changing technological environment. The WIPO Judicial Institute and relevant WIPO sectors work with judges from around the world to create a space for dialogue and exchange of information and practices, to WIPO Lex-Judgments is expected to guide not only law practitioners such as judges and attorneys, but also policy makers and academics from around the world. "WIPO Lex" which provides free access to the laws, regulations and treaties in force and their contents in member countries, regarding Intellectual Property, has been previously launched in 2018 by WIPO. WIPO-Lex Judgments contributes to a greater overall understanding of how courts are handling these issues, by making available judgments, selectively curated by the relevant authorities in participating member states, that establish precedent or offer a persuasive interpretation of IP law in their jurisdiction. 2020-09-29 Initially, WIPO Lex-Judgments enables the users to enjoy free access over 400 domestic court orders and related contents of 10 participating member states from Latin America, Caribbean and Spain.
